DESCRIPTION:
Database Administrator (DBA) / Engineer (DBE) supporting the Application Messaging Framework (AMF). Responsible for the design, maintenance, monitoring, and administration of multiple relational databases. Candidates should demonstrate a strong Database Administration / Engineering background. General tasking and job responsibilities include:
- Work with developers to design and create tables, views, and indexes
- Management of tablespaces, partitions, and datafiles
- Monitoring and management of system storage and data age-off, accounts, account permissions, and account expiration
- Creation and maintenance of PL/SQL stored procedures and triggers
- Backup and restoration of databases as required
- Installation of DBMS software and monthly security patches
- Migration of databases to new hardware
- Research, development, and transition of Oracle databases to FOSS Oracle alternatives
- Securing DB access using TLS and PKI certificates
- Salary Range: $94,000-$100,000
CRITICAL SKILLS:
- Demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator or Engineer
- Experience developing and maintaining PL/SQL and SQL
- Ability to debug and resolve database errors and performance bottlenecks in a timely and effective manner
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas and status updates to peers and management
- Experience maintaining databases in an Enterprise Linux environment
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Database performance tuning
- Optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures
- BASH shell scripting
- Experience using git for configuration management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. CWIP: IAT Level I Certification, IA Baseline in the Oracle Database Management System.
Five (5) years’ experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Four (4) years’ experience developing, configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, administering, updating, and testing Oracle databases.
Three (3) years’ experience with SQL development relevant to Oracle databases.
Three (3) years’ experience developing on Linux, Unix, Windows, or Cisco OS operating system.
Two (2) years’ experience developing databases to be executed on Linux, Unix, Windows, or Cisco OS operating system.
One (1) year experience with the SIGINT environment.
Familiarity with SIGINT security rules.
